Escape the 9-5 with internet marketing

Setting up an internet marketing blog is not really difficult, especially with a decent guide to follow, but as with anything slightly ‘teccie’, it can go wrong.

If you have left a comment on the blog (and if not, why not?), then you will have noticed the recent error messages about missing pages. The comment still arrives for approval as planned, but the individual placing the comment is left in the dark, so to speak.

It appears that I have a mix up in the directory for this blog on my server. After the comment is submitted, the site searches for an address which does not exist and I can not figure out how to fix it. Despite messing about for a while with the little knowledge that I do have, nothing seemed to work. I decided that it would be a good idea to seek out some expert help.

In the absence of a local friend or web technician to help out, I went in search of a virtual assistant. These guys work online for set fees to help solve all sorts of problems, or provide other useful tasks which can be managed over the internet. Marketers often use them for data entry, blog commenting, affiliate marketing, article writing and so on.

I used the services of a VA recently to check that my code was correct on a niche site of mine  - www.success-with-me.com. It was easy and surprisingly inexpensive, so I am doing it again.

Basically, one signs up to a service which puts you in touch with lots of folks willing to work online and you either search for an offer, or post a job and wait for people to bid for your services – which is what I did.

There are several VA sites, but I went for Vworkers because it was recommended by my mentor.

I have received a few bids, so now I just need to arrange the work and pay up when it is completed to my satisfaction.

This may mean that the blog is down for a a few hours, but after that the commentluv plugin will work well again.

Of course, if you have the inclination, then working as a virtual assistant in internet marketing, or any other niche, is a good way to earn money online.
